Incheon United and Daejeon Hana Citizen have entered an even more intense battle for the top split.

Seventh-placed Daejeon (7W9D6L30) have neither won nor lost in their last five matches. Their five consecutive draws in official matches have seen them slip down to seventh place. In their last two matches, against Suwon Samseong and Jeonbuk Hyundai, they scored early goals to take the lead, but allowed their opponents to equalise and missed the chance to win. They also need to end their winless run to close the gap on sixth-placed Gwangju (8 wins, 7 draws, 8 losses, 31 points).
The two sides have met twice this season, with Incheon holding the head-to-head advantage with one win and one draw.
