‘Defense Captain’ Kim Ha-Sung to play in MLB All-Star Game

Major League Baseball (MLB) player Ha-Sung Kim’s eligibility to play in the All-Star Game is drawing attention.

MLB.com, the MLB’s website, has deemed San Diego Padres infielder Ha Sung Kim, 27, eligible to play in this year’s All-Star Game.

MLB.com listed Kim as one of six “honorable mentions” on its list of players who are eligible to play in their first All-Star Game.

Through 15 days and 64 games, Kim is batting .232 with five home runs, 20 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases. Despite his offensive struggles, his solid defense has kept him in San Diego’s starting second base position.

He was ranked ninth in the National League (NL) among second basemen in the first round of fan voting for the 2023 All-Star Game, as announced by the MLB office on April 13.

Earlier in the day, MLB.com highlighted a total of 10 players and then mentioned six additional players. Of the 16 players recognized by MLB.com, Kim was the only second baseman.스포츠토토
