Daegu FC in a slump–Challenges to win against offensively dull Jeju

메이저놀이터With two wins, one draw and two losses in their last five matches, eighth-placed Daegu FC will look to turn things around with a win away to Jeju.

Daegu will look to move up the standings with a win away to Jeju United in the 21st round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Jeju World Cup Stadium on July 7 at 7:30 pm.

In a K League 1 stage where the mid-table battle is fiercer than ever, only one point separates eighth-ranked Daegu from their opponents, fifth-ranked Jeju, meaning that Daegu can move up two or three places if they pick up three points.

Their opponents, Jeju, are winless in their last five matches, with two draws and three losses, and their offense has been lackluster, scoring just five goals in five games after nearly a month of scoreless and one-goal games.

While the team’s attacking chemistry is starting to click, Daegu will be without Edgar, who is out through suspension, while defensive stalwarts Cho Jin-woo and Hwang Jae-won are unavailable for this round due to accumulated cautions.

Daegu has a disadvantageous 13 wins, 16 draws, and 19 losses in the all-time series against Jeju, but they will be hoping to pick up points away from home, as defeats have been few and far between in their last 10 games, with three wins, six draws, and one loss.

Following the trip to Jeju, Daegu will continue their home games against Gangwon next Tuesday.
